If you haven't yet heard Losing You by Solange, you're a little lame. Just a little.
But fear not, all can be rectified if you just click on this link and lose yourself in her melody and cool dance moves.
You can thank me later.
I recently went to Adams to stock up on some sweaters and cardigans now that the meteorologists say that El Nino is merely days away. On my way out of there, I came across a shoe vendor and who was I to say no to some great deals? Someone's got to keep the economy going.
Finally found the perfect nude pumps for my skin tone!
KES450 (about $5)
I've been looking for a pair of heels with a cut out on the side just like these. Thank you Adams.
KES350 (about $4)
Cobalt blue pumps anyone?
KES300 (about $3.50)
Tell me, how much more nude can nude pumps get?? It almost seems like I'm not wearing anything.
Oh by the way, this is me dancing to Solange's song which I was playing while taking the pictures.
There's no room for smiling when I decide the time has come for me to bust a move. Only serious faces and pointy fingers over here.
These shoes go perfectly with everything!!
I've worn them twice already - once with jeans and once with a dress.
So far, these shoes are the least comfortable but what is beauty without pain?
Don't answer that.
I think they're a perfect way to dress up some casual denim jeans or add a little sum'n sum'n to an all white ensemble.
Out of the three pairs, I feel like Solange would most likely wear these. Both my little sister, Amani, and I agree that the colour is a little out there but I thought why not live a little, you know?
Fits just snug.
Funny how all three are closed shoes with a short heel. Very practical for long days.
So on Tuesday night I had this massive craving for bread and drove out to get some with Amani. Here's a snippet of our convo during the car ride:
*two minute silence*
Amani: You know I'm so happy we live in the capital city.
Me: Really? Why?
Amani: Because it means we're capital people.
Me: O_O
Thank you so much for all the kind suggestions/ comments on my last post!
You guys make my day and are no doubt the best part about blogging.
i also own two pairs of nudes....the bata suede heels that were on sale sometime, and a pale pink pair from dorothy perkins but mine weren't nearly as cheap as yours #jealous
ReplyDeletecheck out my blog :)

Hey GraceAlice!
DeleteJust checked out your blog - the Bata shoes you got are suede too right? Love them! I'd have probably bought them too if I saw them ON SALE.
I love a good bargain, wherever that may be.
xx
I also love nude heels :) but mine are lighter so they suit white gal legs, lol. I think you need to give us direction to this Adam's place, cause I am yet to buy heels for less than 1.5k .I really luv the gold pumps with kitten heels out of all the 3.
ReplyDeleteP.s I was busy googling solange last night looking at her different styles, hair etc. so today when I saw your post I was like ok, clearly I'm not the only one obsessed with her. Oh yeah and your sailor shorts are so 60s and cool :)
Yeah it can be a little tricky finding the right pair to suit your skin tone cos a lot of nude heels are usually pretty light.
DeleteI didn't get my shoes at the entrance area - you know where all the shoe vendors usually stay. I got them from a vendor that was still on the side of the road but further in. Hope this explanation makes sense!
Solange kicks ass at life.
And styling.
And Music.
Period.
:)
Love your pictures, you are so photogenic!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rhi :)
DeleteI want to see your new tan!
I forgot to check your reply.. Ok, I'll see if I have any worthy pictures to put up :-)
DeleteCool stuff

DeleteDouble points!
I love the gold and blue pumps. Once again you did it for me :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I love every update.
How about you start giving us more OOTD?
And one more thing? promise me we shall go shopping together some day?
Your wish is my command. More OOTD to come.
DeleteHow can I ever say no to a shopping date??
I love your bracelets and the blue pumps...
ReplyDeleteThe bracelet are actually my mum's. I need to start buying my own accessories - I just usually walk into her room every morning and find whatever goes with my outfit.
DeleteI love the shoes.....I hate that song. Lol. I heard it last night for the first time... No. Just no. And I like her..I like the words.. But not the song. Lol
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOOO! NO. NO. NO. NO. NO.
DeleteTake that back HG!
Or at least watch the video first.. Have you watched it??
