This Christmas was filled with a lot more nature than usual. My fam and I celebrated it at Salt Lick in Voi, Kenya.. Not the most ideal holiday destination for a long period of time but it was beautiful to walk down to the large balcony of the hotel and be greeted by the huge tusks of an elephant. Or the playful splashes of it's baby in the water hole. I am convinced more than ever that animals, and especially those in the wild, have such a mystical, magical presence that makes you question whether you're really at the top of this food chain. Just standing there and watching the herds of buffaloes and elephants and giraffes lost in their own world of alpha males and protective mothers made me appreciate the Big Guy Upstairs more than ever. Boy does He know his stuff.
