Oliver Twist. Spiderman. Sun. Red Velvet Cake.

I know I'm several months late with what I'm about to say but how amazing is Oliver Twist by D'Banj?!
Let's have a moment for D'Banj's awesomeness.
*Moment*
Watch Video here and let your body move to the beat.

I wore this outfit on Sunday where I spent my afternoon with my mother at Maasai market and later watched The Amazing Spiderman with a friend. Let's be honest here, if you've watched one Spiderman, you've pretty much watched them all.

Top - Meltz; Pants - Toi Market; Wedges - Jet; Bag - Susen; Necklace & Ring - Maasai Market

For the sun lovers out there {or just plain warm blooded people} who are currently living in Nairobi, how jealous are you of the above moment considering how cold it's been lately? That, dear friends, is me basking in the sun. And to think I dared to complain about how hot it was that day.

Happy Hump Day people :) Any exciting plans? I'm sharing a Dorman's red velvet cake (RVC) with a friend after work - that pretty much sums up my exciting plan for today. Maybe even the week.

Be good.

Sheci Look 5: Never been cuter!

I don't even know where to start except for I am in loooove with this bracelet!
... and I totally didn't iron this skirt before putting it on so pardon the wrinkles.

Only Shs350 (about $4) for this here Leso Fabric bracelet by Sheci!

Ok. Anyone else out there who has the dark-knee problem? My elbows and knees (but mostly knees) always look like they've been swimming in thick, dark oil.. Solutions to this problem are welcome.

A message to my French speaking readers.
Wait, I just Googled it and according to the wise, wise men of Googleville, that's not how you're supposed to spell it. What is this? Is this even French any more?

For the final post featuring Sheci accesories, I thought it would be fun to rock some arm candy using their multi-coloured Leso Fabric bracelet. Despite stacking bracelets of different textures and colours together, I made sure that there was some form of harmony in the entire outfit. For instance, the gold bracelet is complimented by the gold necklace; the flower bracelet matches the flower studs I've got on; and the pink in the Sheci bracelet compliments the pink in the skirt. Harmony. And fun harmony at that.

Top - Toi Market; Skirt - Toi Market; Clutch - Adams; Wedges - Aldo; Sheci Bracelet; Gold Bracelet - Identity; Flowered bracelet - Woolworths; Necklace - Kariokor Market.

It was so much fun working with the Sheci team for the past two weeks and I'm so grateful to have had this opportunity! Don't forget to like their Facebook Page to get regular updates on the different products they've got.

Thank you for stopping by, you make my day :)

Sheci Look 4: When in doubt..

PART ONE:
A few months ago I was on one of my favourite blogs when I came across something she said that has always stuck with me - When in doubt, wear black. Genius much?! I mean, we've all had those moments where we've spent ages trying to figure out what to wear only to give up in frustration. This, my friends, is the secret to not being frustrated anymore! Unless you don't have any black clothes in which case, sorry friend, it's back to the drawing board for you..

So what was the fourth item on Sheci's accessories? The Maasai beaded necklace but this time in orange, baby blue and black!

If ever you wanted to really play it safe with any of Sheci's jewellery, especially one that has several colours to it, I would say just go for an all black outfit and minimise on all other jewellery. Pretty simple but still cute, wouldn't you say? And boy do we like cute.
I reckon this outfit would be perfect for date night!

Black Coat - Meltz; Dress - Toi; Belt - Mother's; Shoes - Edgars; Beaded Necklace - Sheci; Clutch - Mother's.

How's that for a washed out face?

PART TWO:
In the spirit of 'when in doubt, wear black' I thought I should put together two outfits!
This second outfit was much more laid back, something you could wear to hang out with friends or go out for lunch.

Thought there was never a better time to pull out the turban!
I also decided to layer the jewellery by adding a longer beaded piece.
Despite being an all black outfit, this look doesn't quite play it safe - we've got the turban, layered jewellery, and the gold accents in the rings, second necklace & sandals. It sort of takes on an afrocentric vibe which reminds me of Solange!

Chubby face, anyone?

Top - Pick n Pay clothing; Jeans - JayJays; Satchel - New Look; Turban - borrowed from friend; Gold rings & Bracelet - Maasai Market; Turquoise ring - gift; Beaded Neclace - Sheci; Longer beaded necklace - Kariokor Market.

Make sure to check out Sheci's Facebook Page people! This beaded necklace goes for only Shs700 so don't be shy, give them a shout and grab yourself one already :)

HAAPPPY FRIDAAAYYY!!

{On a scale of 1 to 10, how creepy would you rate this picture?}

Guess who put up a Facebook Page?!
I feel so techno savvy, like I've officially landed in blogger navy and I'm about to take off in my very own naval aircraft {I totally just looked that up. I was originally going to go with 'fighter jet that you find on the ships' but.. well.. naval aircraft it is}. Please check out the facebook page --> here! <-- and like it! And since we're on the blogger navy/techno savvy subject, you can also find me on Twitter.

Rexona Update:
On monday Rexona announced the winner and it wasn't me. Boo hoo? Not really. You see there's going to be two winners - one for the month of June and another for July. Like A Zebra

Saturday was my little sister's birthday. Can't believe she's already 9! I remember waiting outside my mother's delivery room all those years ago eagerly waiting to hold this little being in my hands. And now she's 9?! Time goes so fast.

I wore this dress that I borrowed {and never returned} from my mum a few years back.  It only ever comes out of my closet whenever it's cold as it gets pretty warm under those stripes. Speaking of which, how do you feel about stripes? Love 'em? Hate 'em?

Dress - mum's but got from China; Tights - Woolworths; Boots - Lu Yi Lin from China; Earrings - Kariakor; Clutch - Toi; Black Trench Coat - Meltz; Lipstick - Revlon Colourburst Plum

I've decided that in addition to getting 150 nail polishes by end of the year {initially only wanted 100 as seen in this post but changed my mind}, I'm going to try and get at least 10 lipsticks. On my current wish-list is Ruby Woo and Girl About Town - both my Mac.
Any other good ones that you would suggest?
