Let me Love you

I couldn't for the life of me figure out what to put as the title of this post so I did the next best thing: went to my iTunes and chose one of the first songs I landed on (which also happens to be one of my current favs). Let me love you by Ne-Yo.

I was going for a military look on this day hence the blouse with the military inspired shoulder/pocket details and the boots. Also, please excuse my hair as protective styles have gotten the best of me hence the little (ugly) braids that I did myself.

This once-a-month heat pass business must really be getting to me because this is the second time I've dreamed about going to my salon and having my hair blow dried and flat ironed straight. I'm talking bone straight. Can't wait for Nov. 17th!

Sheer shirt - Forever New; Tank top - Mr. Price; Tights & Earrings - Woolworths; Boots - Mr. Price; Necklace - Gifted; Bracelet - Mother's.

Latifa reckons these are the bathroom poses I should probably steer away from in my posts.

I believe I got this gold necklace from my mum on my 13th birthday. It's one of those pieces that I know will be in my jewellery collection for eternity and will definitely be passed on to my little girl or nieces. Dainty gold necklaces are a definitely a timeless piece to have in your collection, wouldn't you agree?

I hear Eastleigh is the place to go for gold and silver jewellery.

Edit to Add
(after being coerced into it)
I just got a call from my mother threatening to send a courier over to get back the necklace if I don't confirm that indeed, she did give it to me for my 13th birthday. Apparently my use of the word "believe" insinuates otherwise.
Out of respect but really fear that she'll probably kick me out of the house if I don't correct myself I just want you to know that my mama gave me this beautiful piece.
Believe me when I say that subtlety isn't exactly her forte
;)

    1. Hey there,

Ok so I wasn't wearing lipstick on this post.. Just some gloss. My lips are naturally slightly lighter than the rest of my skin hence the appearance of pink lipstick I guess..

There's this one that I used and talked about in this post: http://thisisess.blogspot.com/2012/07/cold-shoulder-and-lovely-lippy.html

I got it from the chemist at Valley Arcade! Hope this helps :)

Oh and if you can identify the exact post you were talking about then I'll let you know which lippy I had on.
