This was my second
fashion event to ever attend and I must add, the best too.
I didn’t actually
think I’d end up going, despite planning for it for a while, but I managed to
get a media pass a day before the event.. I was over the moon!
Because I’d never been
to FAFA before (and if I am to be very honest, never heard of it until about
two months ago), I wasn’t sure what to expect. The only other fashion event I’d
ever been to was Swahili Fashion Week in Nairobi and I thought that was a
pretty good show.
Believe me, FAFA was
about 10 times better.
Then again, it was the first time Swahili Fashion Week came to Kenya whereas this was FAFA's fourth year.
I wonder what Swahili Fashion Week in Tanzania is like..
I posted about 80
pictures on my Facebook page so make sure you check them out!
It seemed that FAFA
drew out quite a few CEOs, media personalities and celebrities. It was nice to see a large diverse crowd enjoying some amazing
designs from incredible designers!
My highlights from this
event?
Nancie Mwai
recognising me from my blog after seeing me on DRUM Magazine! BAM.
Meeting Ruhila and
not quite recognising who she was until she gave me her card and I realised
it’s Ruhila Adatia from Daily Dirt on Kiss FM! Anyone else obsessed with that celebrity news segment like I am??
A. Great. Fashion. Show!!!

Getting the sachet of
Argan Oil which I talked about in my last post.
Hanging out with a
couple of good friends I’ve made in the past few months (heeey Diana and Frankie!)
Meeting Randolph Gray
who we all know is the hair whisperer. (and if you don't know, now you know)
THE FOOD. My goodness was that food good.
