I'm so excited to have been able to put together my very first video! There was lipstick on my teeth, several interruptions and noisy production assistants but what's a first video without all the little hiccups?
I filmed it from my room and got the fairy lights idea from one of my favourite YouTube gurus (Dulce Candy) and thought it was quite fitting seeing as Christmas is just round the corner!
Hope you had a lovely Monday people
:)
:)
yaaay,videos.
ReplyDeleteFor starters that's a cool video liked that u dint edit it. Love your blog BTW.
DeleteYou are amazeballs
ReplyDeleteAnd you are so sweet for saying that
Deletex
You did SO well! It's nice to put a voice to a face!
ReplyDeleteYou are a serious natural at vlogs :-)
Oh and I love your accent. You sound different to what I imagined, but I guess most bloggers sound different to what I imagine haha.
DeleteThanks Rhi!
DeleteAlthough now I'm curious, what did you think I'd sound like??
I reckon bloggers should at least do one video in their lifetime so people can get a feel of how they sound..
So when is yours coming up?!
I don't know.. just different haha.
DeleteI've done 3 videos! Pretty sure you've commented on at least one!
I loved it! Lipstick on your teeth? honestly i did not see any i love your accent i could hear a hint of South African in there too, the production assistants deserve a bonus! Don't worry with the editing you will get better with time try movie maker to edit if you have it on your laptop or any other movie editing program (SOS TECHIES ESS NEEDS YOU LOL)are you able to post the pages you styled on the blog?
ReplyDeleteLydz, there was definitely lipstick - I could see it!
DeleteSouth African accent??? My friends would have a laugh attack if they heard you say that!
Windows Movie Maker doesn't pick up video files from my camera :( so I think I'll have to purchase a software that compatible.. I'll look into that soon cos I was lucky enough to have someone who could help me this time round!
I'll take a picture of the images on the magazine and put it up :)
Great Vid!!! Its funny but all the quirky things that you probably found annoying added a flair to the video. I find you quite hilarious. Loved it. Don't worry you will get the hang of things. Keep up the good work on you blog. Congrats on all the accolades. Your gift will continue to make way for you.
ReplyDeleteAwww your words melt my heart, thank you so much!!
DeleteHopefully soon I'll be an editing expert and can put up better videos!
Great job on the vid :) Loved it! Oh, and you are gorgeous!
ReplyDelete:) :)

Finally A voice to the Face, It's a great video & you are quite a natural at it.
ReplyDeleteHope this is the first of many :D
Finally, I know! Was going to wait another two weeks but decided to jump right into it.
DeleteI'll be putting them up as often as I can or as often as I have something relevant to say.
Thanks
xx
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL WOMAN!!!!! And I could also hear a hint of SA in your accent. Your eyes. Your eyes. Your eyes. I don't know. Gorgeous is an understatement.
ReplyDeleteVideos of yours that I would like to watch: a room tour, anything about hair and skin routine :) Hope that's not too much to ask.
Keep up the good work Ess!
Why thank you!
DeleteAbout the accent, could you really hear it? I think because you know I lived in SA for a while you were probably looking for an SA accent which I promise is not there!! Or is it?! Now I don't know o_O
About the videos:
Room tour - I'd just embarrass myself with that cs I am the messiest girl I know..
Hair - this will definitely be my next video!
Skin routine - I don't think I've got healthy/nice skin but I wouldn't mind sharing what products I've tried and how they worked on me
Thanks for letting me know which ones you'd like to see!
Love it! Had to comment on this one....laughed at the fact that you could edits the brats out, and mum!
ReplyDeletecouldn't edit! Should have re-read the sentence. Need to get the spell check going here.
Deletehaha, it seems your babies are an integral part of my blogging career.. I might need to hire them on a more permanent basis ;)
DeleteThis is so sweet! Aww, how your mum couldn't resist commenting.
DeleteAlso great video. I'm not sure about the S.A accent but you definitely don't sound like the Kenyans I know :)
For starters that's a cool video liked that u dint edit it. Love your blog BTW.
ReplyDeleteTweetybird takes me waaaay back to my childhood - cool nickname!
DeleteThanks :)
You are a natural infront of the camera:) Ontop of the magazines/editing, I can also see you in tv or radio. Anyway keep doing your thing girl. Its amazeballs plus you are the bomb dot com ( I found those phrases too funny, the first time i heard them was like :P but good stuff)
ReplyDeleteaww thanks Vee!
DeleteHaha, had you really never heard them before? People use them all the time! I think.
this is so cute! :) you did a great job for your first gig AND video! go girl!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fiona!!
DeleteYour first video is the shiznit :-) You did good mami and congrats on getting to style....or is it be the stylist in the november DRUM issue *thumbs up*
ReplyDeleteI hadn't realised that you'd posted this here too!
Deletethis is so kulo. i love the interruptions..made it so real. Congratulations and all the best for your future :).
ReplyDeleteCant wait for the hair videos.
I'm planning one for this Saturday!
DeleteI really like your video... yes, even without any editing. I really don't think it's necessary, makes it real (Nasi). Your lighting was amazing, your production assistants were a lot more quiet than those on actual sets :) Your mum is super cool.. HI-FIVE!!! My mum would do the same thing. oh oh and Congratulations :) Good Job ...
ReplyDeleteI think I'll definitely to learn how to edit videos though - imagine if I had a mind block for 30 seconds? Awkward.
DeleteI'll let my mum know she's got a fan!
:)
Yes it would be awkward... :D Basic editing is pretty easy ... try Final Cut Pro (For Macs) and Adobe Premium Pro (works on anything) then you can search for tutorials on-line...
DeleteI enjoy reading your blog. Makes my mornings a more morning. :)
I think the next thing for this blog is turning it into a TV-show!! With you as the hostess. I'm one avid follower of your blogposts although I rarely leave comments :)
ReplyDeleteOh boy I wouldn't be too sure about TV - so daunting! Filming in my room is a lot easier when you know I know my audience is limited to the few who read my blog - TV is national! eeeek.
DeleteThanks for coming out to comment - I truly appreciate it :)
Ahhhh this video is the bomb.com!!
ReplyDeleteLove it!you are so warm hearted!:):)
Thanks tess and so are you!!
Deletexx
