Give an Inch..

I got a haircut today! Well it was actually meant to be a trim but it feels more like a massive cut. Give an inch, she takes 3. Literally.

I've been trying to grow my hair out for about a year and a half now.. It's been a mighty long journey and to see her cut the edges off today made me want to scream! It was necessary though, if you'd seen my ends you'd have screamed. It was pitiful. Glad my hair is happy and healthy now though, can't wait to see how long it gets this year!

 I repeat, Little Photo app is the best thing that's happened to my Android phone all year.

 Before the cut, the ends reached the crease of my armpit but now my hair barely rests on my collar bone! She cut of that much..

When sitting up straight my hair doesn't yet reach the beauty spot over my right breast. Can you see that little sucker? I'm keeping a close eye on this.. Let's see how fast my hair can grow to get to it! If only I'd wake up tomorrow and voila..

My ultimate goal is to have my hair long enough that it cups my breasts though I'd be pretty excited if it could just reach my nipple {pardon all these body parts being used as measures}.
Will it ever get there?? Sure do hope so.

Let the documentation begin.

Pictures from another lifetime

I took these pictures months before I started this blog and just landed on them and thought I'd put them on here. I'm glad I started this lil' bloggy, can't wait to look back years from now and laugh at the random things that I thought were cool. Like a bunch of necklaces, android picture apps and nail polish. Which, I must repeat, are pretty awesome. Perhaps I could even look back at it with my children. Who knows, maybe even grandchildren!

 On my lunch break.. Four hours till I clock out.
Woopdehoo!

How to: Storing stud earrings

Now I don't know about you but my recent jewellery purchases have been centred around earrings, particularly studs. I've actually got a little over 20 of them now and I've been storing them in a small glass bowl. It gets pretty annoying when your trying to look for a particular pair..
See below.

After a little research I found that there are several ways one can do this. The prettier ideas involved getting cute boxes, adding styrofoam and voila! A cute stud earring storage system. Others talked of buying complex earring holders that left me doubtful of whether I could ever get my hands on them. So eventually I chose to go with the most simple, unflattering but practical and easily doable suggestion - an ice cube tray.

 Oh yeeeaaaah.
Cheers to not spending ages looking for my little faux pearl stud earrings in the morning.
*clink*

Now I'm on a mission to find cuter ice cube trays! Either that or I'll need to spray paint this one.. It looks so weird having a plain white ice cube tray sitting on my dresser. Not the most flattering thing to have next to your perfumes or make up I tell you.

So now that the tray can only hold 16 of my studs, I put the little ones in it and leave the bigger ones in the glass bowl along with my rings.

 {only holding the bigger studs}

{some of my rings}

Hope this helps!
So how do you store your jewellery?
I think I need Kim Kardashian's jewellery storage system. Never seen it before but can you imagine how elaborate it would be??

Fuschia Flats

I've never really thought of my outfit as having a highlight to it, something that just steals the show. I often try and ensure that everything sort of blends in together in a nice way. But yesterday, when I pulled out my fushia flats, I realised that this way of life cannot be assumed whenever these shoes are concerned.

 Call them the main act of an ensemble if you will but these shoes made me smiiile whenever I looked at my feet! I kid you not, I would literally feel my cheeks widen whenever I caught a flash of these babies

 No, I was not pointing at my breasts or touching my nipples. It was meant for the shoes but damn angle doesn't really help my case. Oh well.

 A happy gal

{Grrr. Blogger can be so annoying sometimes. For some reason I can't pull this picture up so I'm left with this annoying space between the pictures. Gah!}
