My Trip to SA: Part I

So I totally loved it all.
I'll let the pictures do the talking.
Starting from the morning of our departure...

{love a good sense of humour!}

OFF TO SOUTH AFRICA!!!

I'm beyond excited about this trip!! I went to uni in SA and I'm finally graduating this Saturday!! 3 long years I tell you. But I'm glad my parents, friends and God saw me through those years..

Our flight leaves in about 4.5hrs! I'll be away for a week and probably won't be blogging till I get back.. Can't wait to share this amazing trip with you!!

Till then, stay cool.

My Little Gems

Meet my friends.

Mondy, Wanzuu and Moi

We went to Mondy's little park, otherwise known to most as a backyard, for a picnic!
Mmmm Nandos lemon and herb chicken anyone?

I got a little obsessed with Mondy's head scarf which she tied into a bow.
Hells yeah I'm going to copy this look

 My two little gems.

During our frantic, trigger-happy, photo session, Wanzuu shouts out to me: "umm, you might wanna do something about those ashy knees of yours"
Embarrassing much?? Thank goodness I hadn't gone around town with those babies out!

True friends help moisturise your ashy knees.
I fell in love with Wanzuu all over again.
I was joking when I asked her to oil them but she went right into it!!
Love her.

See, I told you Mondy has her own little park.

I loooove playing games with friends so when Mondy pulled this out, my heart did a couple somersaults.

The lush locks

Let's play spot Mondy.

I had a BLAST this Saturday meeting up with my girls - they had been in Mauritius for about 6 weeks. 6 empty weeks I tell ya.

We tend to prefer doing fun, laid back things when we meet up. Like oiling ashy knees and hiding in gardens.
Love these two!

What do you and your girls (or boys) usually get up to?

Do you ever struggle to find the right pose?

I wonder whether bloggers like Gary Pepper from Gary Pepper Vintage and Karla from Karla's Closet took posing classes.. Or if they were/are models.. Their pictures always look very natural and stunning! Always perfect.

I always struggle with my pictures and yet I'd like to share more outfit posts with y'all. They always seem unnatural!
Any tips on how to make them more fun/classic?
Now would be the time for Gary Pepper or Karla to leave a comment below. Right.

Remember the plain white shirt I talked about HERE
Well here's how it turned out..

Brown singlet - Mr. Price,
Shorts - can't remember name of store
White shirt - second hand market (only Shs50!)
Belt - Mr. Price
Sandals - Woolworths
Sunglasses - Aldo

Let's ignore the split ends featured in this photo

So do you find it difficult posing for pictures, especially when other people take the picture? And do you have any tips?

Chocolates and Flowers

1. Chocolates were for my sister who was appointed class prefect a couple days ago!
In our household, that's the same as winning a Nobel Peace Prize.
We had giant cards with encouraging words and a few other presents lined up for her.

2. Yellow and orange roses.
The next batch of flowers I buy will either be plain white or have a colour-blocking theme to them.
I fear the flowers I bring home lack style/pizzazz/glamour.
Any tips on how to creatively pick out beautiful flowers?

Just this morning

I took a picture or two.

because {and this is important} I had on my bootylicious skirt

then I danced to the music in my head

posed for one more picture

before show-casing my necklace.
And all this before 7:35am.

What were you up to at 7:30 this morning?

Whatever you do..

..don't wear a see through blouse to work with a coat over it. And then take off the coat at around midday when it gets hot. This may seem obvious to most but if you're like me.. well.. just don't do it.
Will be starting a petition to put up more mirrors in the office soon. If I'd known just how see-through this blouse was, I'd have kept the coat on and taken on the heat!

No more wardrobe malfunctions until {at least} Easter.
