A whole lot different from what I remember

If you went to primary and, possibly, high school in Kenya, then Bata is no new term to you. It was like clockwork – just before schools would open, parents would flock to the most convenient Bata store to get a new pair of school shoes for their kids. Needless to say, for the longest time I knew that all that Bata had to offer were school shoes, sports shoes, and those flip flops that they only had in blue or red. But boy have things changed and I, for one, sure am loving it. I mean, aren’t these babies just the bombdiggity? To be honest though my mum asked whether the brown flats were meant for old ladies. If that's the case then I just declared myself the mayor of old-ladiesville because these babies are the most comfortable things my 10 little toes have ever had the pleasure of experiencing! Plus they also came with a 10% discount so really, old ladies' shoes for the win.

KES 400 (approx. $5)

KES1,500 (approx. $18)

Friday is just round the corner ladies and gents, stay strong.
